Hot Pants at Lion's Den'This Thursday

Organ and brass bad boys The Hotpants will be playing at the Lion's Den this Thursday night at 11pm.

The Hotpants have made a name for themselves at their homestand Smoke on the Upper West Side. Owner Frank Christopher says, "Hotpants is my secret weapon... all I have to do is open the door and people will cross the street to check them out. That's how Wednesday night has become such a scene at Smoke. These guys are not just a band, they're an addiction."

Joe will be performing with long-time collaborators Mat Maneri (side man to Cecil Taylor, Matthew Shipp and Joe Morris) and Randy Peterson (a formidable rhythm section with bassists Cecil McBee, Barre Phillips and Mark Dresser).
