Joe's Pub and the Country Music Association are proud to announce the continuation of the successful CMA (Country Music Association) Songwriter Series with some of Nashvilleâs finest songwriters. Bob DiPiero has written multiple #1 hits including Montgomery Gentryâs âIf You Ever Stop Loving Meâ, George Straitâs âBlue Clear Skyâ and Vince Gillâs âWorldâs Apartâ to name a few. He was awarded CMAâs Triple Play Award in both 1995 & 1996 for having three number ones in a twelve month period for Faith Hillâs âTake Me As I Amâ, Neal McCoyâs âWinkâ, Reba McEntireâs âTill You Love Meâ, George Straitâs âClear Blue Skyâ, Vince Gillâs âWorldâs Apartâ and Ricochetâs âDaddyâs Moneyâ. Bob penned the classic Oak Ridge Boys song âAmerican Madeâ and was also named Sony/ATV Nashvilleâs Songwriter of the Year in 2000.
Tony Mullins has authored songs for superstar Country acts Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Montgomery Gentry and newcomer Craig Morgan. He recently celebrated another #1 for LeAnn Rimesâ âSomethingâs Gotta Giveâ for which she received a 2007 Grammy nomination. Mullins was awarded the 2000 ASCAP Song of the Year for Kenny Chesneyâs âHow Forever Feelsâ.
Jeffrey Steele is currently Grammy nominated for Country Song of the Year for his writing credit for the Rascal Flattsâ hit âWhat Hurts The Mostâ. In addition to Rascal Flatts, Jeffrey has penned hits for Alabama, Brad Paisley, Trace Adkins and Tim McGraw, to name a few. Steele was named BMIâs Songwriter of the Year in 2003 and he was given the same award from the NSAI in both 2003 and 2005. He is Music Row Magazineâs reigning songwriter and song of the year winner. Steele has also had a hand in producing Country artists Trick Pony, Montgomery Gentry and Keith Anderson.
Craig Wiseman has written songs that have resulted in 300 radio released songs, 90 charted singles, and 14 number one hits. Everyone from Faith Hill, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw and Brooks & Dunn have recorded Craigâs songs. Craig is the songwriter of Tim McGrawâs ten week #1 smash hit âLive Like You Were Dyingâ for which he won Song of the Year awards from numerous organizations, including the Country Music Association and the Recording Academy. He also wrote the reigning CMA Song of the Year âBelieveâ (Brooks & Dunn) with Ronnie Dunn.
