| Description: | Kenny Shanker grew up in Pleasanton, California. He has been playing the saxophone professionally since age 14. While in high school, Kenny was selected to a number of all-state bands in both jazz and classical music. He was twice chosen as a member of the Grammy All-American Jazz Band, performed at the Monterey Jazz Festival, and twice toured Japan with the Monterey Jazz Festival High School All-Star Big Band. Kenny is currently a student at Manhattan School of Music in New York City. He performs frequently in small groups and big bands, teaches private lessons and presents clinics to music students. |
