Description:From Carnegie Hall Neighborhood Concert Series Info:Akua Dixon and her swinging string quartet play her originals and arrangements of jazz classics from the likes of Ellington, Monk and Mingus, as well as spirituals and work songs including some additional classics from the great American Song Book. This marks her Fourth Hip Hop Blues Project concert, featuring some of the hardest working string students from the Tri-State area. This afternoon the Hip Hop String Orchestra performs a new work entitled BEATZ.
