Honey Island Swamp Band fuses blues, rock, jazz, funk and swamp. The band’s wide range of influences is present in their tunes and covers the entire landscape of southern roots music.
Their recent release, Wishing Well, was awarded Best of the Beat's 2009 Best Blues Album by music bible, Offbeat Magazine. Produced by Better than Ezra bassist Tom Drummond, the album features many acclaimed guests, including sousaphonist Kirk Joseph of the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and Mark Mullins and Craig Klein of Bonerama, amongst others. The band was also honored as Offbeat Magazine’s Best Emerging Artist of 2009.
