Ariadna Castellanos at Joe's Pub

Spanish pianist and composer, Ariadna Castellanos is currently one of the top rising and most promising Flamenco artists. Ariadna merges new harmonies and modern traditions with the wild passionate essence of Flamenco creating her own language and identity. Based on her technique, acquired with classical training, and her natural sense of improvisation, Ariadna’s performances achieve the highest artistic quality. 

She has recently recorded her first album for Casa Limón, which has been produced by the Grammy Award winning composer/producer Javier Limón (Paco de Lucía, Bebo Valdés, El Cigala, Buika). Ariadna has performed in such venues as the Monterrey Jazz Festival and the Puerto Rico Heineken JazzFest 2012, among others. Ariadna Castellanos, piano, will be joined by Maria Toro, flute, Nacho Arimani , percussion, and Mariona Scanell, dancer.
