| Description: | The first recording called "Charms of the Night Sky" was widely considered to be the best jazz recording of the year in 1999. The second recording by Charms of the Night Sky entitled A Thousand Evenings was released in 2000 on RCA Victor. The group, known as El Trilogy Ensemble with the additions of saxophonist Greg Tardy and drummer Susie Ibarra, walks a tightrope between jazz avant-garde and improvised chamber music owing much to the 20th Century European classical tradition. |
