| Description: | Ted's recordings as a leader include Rhyme and Reason (with his Double Quartet) and Sidewalk Meeting (with his band Odeon), both on Arabesque Records. His forthcoming CD, Still Evolved, will be released in May 2003 on Palmetto Records. Ted was recently recognized in Downbeat Magazine's 2002 Critics Poll in the TDWR (Talent Deserving Wider Recognition) category for "Best Tenor Saxophonist." He has performed and recorded with Joe Lovano, Marcus Roberts, the Gerry Mulligan Big Band, the Carnegie Hall Big Band, and the Mel Lewis Jazz Orchestra, and is currently touring and recording with Wynton Marsalis & the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra. |
